回顾光辉历程
●1951年5月23日，《中央人民政府和西藏地方政府关于和平解放西藏办法的协议》(the Agreement of the Central People's Government and the Local Government of Tibet on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet)在北京签订，简称《十七条协议》(“17-Article Agreement” for short)，宣告西藏和平解放。
● 1959年3月28日，中央政府发布命令，解散西藏地方政府，民主改革(democratic reform)在西藏万里高原展开。
●1965年9月，西藏第一届人民代表大会第一次会议在拉萨开幕，西藏自治区及其人民政府(the Tibet Autonomous Region and the Regional People’s Government)宣告成立。
●1980-2010年期间，中央先后召开五次西藏工作座谈会(national meetings on Tibet)。
● 2013年3月，习近平总书记提出“治国必治边、治边先稳藏”(strengthening the frontier region is key to governing a country, and maintaining stability in Tibet is a prerequisite of strengthening the frontier region)的战略思想。
●2020年8月，中央第七次西藏工作座谈会召开。习近平总书记以“十个必须”明确了新时代党的治藏方略(the Party’s guidelines for governing Tibet in the new era)。
● 2021年7月，习近平总书记来到西藏庆祝西藏和平解放70周年，强调全面贯彻新时代党的治藏方略，谱写雪域高原长治久安和高质量发展新篇章(has stressed fully implementing the guidelines of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for governing Tibet in a new era and writing a new chapter of lasting stability and high-quality development for the plateau region)。

目前，西藏生态系统整体稳定，环境质量持续向好，绿色发展格局初步形成，人民生态环境权益不断提升，“绿水青山就是金山银山、冰天雪地也是金山银山”的理念深入人心。
Tibet's ecosystems are now generally stable. Environmental quality is improving, a green development model is in place, and eco-environmental rights and interests are more secure. “Clear waters and green mountains are invaluable assets, so is snow-covered land”– this concept is alive in people's hearts.
浩荡雄风藏万卷，磅礴大气独凛然。70年在历史长河中犹如白驹过隙，中国共产党团结带领西藏各族人民创造了彪炳千秋、利泽万代、亘古未有的历史功绩。
Justice prevails when the mighty wind sweeps all evils away. Seventy years have flashed by in the long course of history. During these seven decades, the CPC has united and led the ethnic peoples of Tibet to achieve historic change and unprecedented success.
70年沧海桑田，西藏“换了人间”，由落后到进步，由贫穷到富裕，由封闭到开放，一个充满生机活力的社会主义新西藏巍然屹立在神州大地。西藏取得的辉煌成就是中华民族复兴进程的精彩华章，是中国式现代化道路的重要见证。
After seven decades of profound changes, Tibet has taken on a completely new look. Progressing from backwardness to development, from poverty to prosperity, and from isolation to openness, a new socialist Tibet brimming with vigor and vitality now stands tall in the vast land of China. The remarkable achievements of Tibet represent an inspiring chapter in China's journey of national rejuvenation and an important testament to the uniquely Chinese path to modernization.
当前，在习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想指引下，西藏各族人民正按照习近平总书记擘画的宏伟蓝图，全面贯彻中央第七次西藏工作座谈会精神，团结一心、锐意进取，为谱写中华民族伟大复兴中国梦西藏篇章而努力奋斗。西藏的明天必将更加辉煌灿烂，西藏人民的生活必将更加幸福美好。
Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, all the ethnic peoples in Tibet are following General Secretary Xi's overall strategy and implementing the decisions made at the Seventh National Meeting on Tibet.
